Sarracenia 'Leah Wilkerson' has the go-go gadget pitchers of the naturally occurring Sarracenia hybrids. Easier to measure in Godzilla units than inches, the plant's largest recorded pitchers top out at 50 inches (130 cm) in height. The average pitch of the jug is a still ridiculous 36 in. (91 cm +) with hoods measuring 6.5 in. (17 cm), making S. 'Leah Wilkerson' easy to spot over the hoods of other similar S. x moorei hybrids. Yes, S. 'Leah Wilkerson' is a simple cross of S. flava and S. leucophylla, but with exceptional heterosis or hybrid vigor (the improved or increased function of each biological quality in a hybrid progeny). Sarracenia 'Leah Wilkerson' was discovered in May 2002 while visiting a swamp on private property in Walton County, Florida. The wild mother plant was easy to spot due to its 50+ towering pitchers and over 2 meters (6 feet) in diameter. It is a beautiful hybrid and a prize in any collection.

These greed points are from mature plants and can flower This/Next year.
